CITY OF PARAMOUNT IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA HONORS ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATION

The City of Paramount in Southern California issues a resolution proclaiming April as National Donate Life Month recognizing the thousands on the national transplant wait list. In addition, the city is participating in Donate Life Flags across America by flying the Donate Life Flag.

The Donate Life Flag is being presented to the city by transplant recipient's son, Michael.

1. Register with your State's organ & tissue donor registry. To learn how: www.organdonor.gov
2. Speak with your family, friends and colleagues about your decision to be a donor.
3. Encourage your workplace ,church, schools, neighborhood organizations, and city to adopt donation as a mission.
4. Encourage your elected officials to support donation legislation.
5. Speak at your local High School, College or University. Ask them to participate in the National Donation Campus Challenge. www.organdonor/campus.gov
6. Participate in events sponsored by your local organ procurement organization.
ONE organ donor can SAVE the lives of up to 8 people
