August 29, 2009 Salt Lake City - Nearly 300 people who saved other's lives through death were honored Saturday at the Salt Lake City Library. Utah's Donate Life Coalition unveiled a monument dedicated to those who donated their organs, tissue and blood when they died.
The coalition added 287 names to the monument this year, bringing the total number of names on the wall to 3,285.
The Utah's Donate Life Coalition comprises of local healthcare facilities, agencies, foundations and organizations with the common goal of saving life through donation.
Their hard work and dedication to this goal - as well as the selfless donations from thousands of Utahns - inspired the Celebration of Life Monument.
