DONATE LIFE KINGDOM DAY FLOAT - LOS ANGELES - SOCAL OBSERVES MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY

LOS ANGELES -- A Southern California tradition honoring the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. marched on today, despite the rain.The 25th annual Kingdom Day Parade kicked off at 10:15 a.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Western Avenue in South Los Angeles. Marchers, many in raincoats, headed west on King Boulevard to Crenshaw Boulevard, then south to Vernon Avenue.Several convertibles also joined the procession with riders carrying large umbrellas. One person appeared to be holding a patio umbrella, which covered most of the car.Actress-comedian Niecy Nash, the host of the Style Network series "Clean House," served as celebrity grand marshal.

Donate Life Kingdom Day Float committee and riders were thrilled to see that KTLA 5, long time supporter of Donate Life featured our float "Renewing Life, One by One" as their featured float on their website. Yes it was wet; despite this, the riders were enthusiasic as were those lining the parade route.
