I've been honored with a great gift today. I was able to work on the Donate Life Rose Bowl Parade float as a volunteer. Surprisingly, not as many people are allowed to work on the float as one would think considering how many people would like to work on it. My mom and I worked on the flames part of the phoenix rising from the ashes. The nurses from Long Beach Memorial and my grandpa worked on preparing the flowers for us to glue on. Rather impressive teamwork and communication seeing how all of us met only for a few hours. Very lovely people.
Our float won an award.
