$2,000 cash for best short/video; $1,000 for 2nd and 3rd place

  • 5-7 Minutes Preferred
  • Stories about the recipients of organs
  • Stories about the donation/transplant process
  • Stories about living or deceased organ donors
  • Longer films edited down to under 20 minutes

20-120 Minutes – Scripted or Documentary

Here are some story ideas:

  • Discuss donation with teens to see whether to they plan to register as donors at the Department of Motor Vehicles upon getting their license
  • Talk to Organ Procurement Organizations, nurses, and doctors about how they save lives through donation
  • Find out how law enforcement and coroners preserve evidence while facilitating organ donation
  • Script a drama about a family losing a loved one and organ donation professionals approaching them about donating their loved ones’ organs to save other’s lives
  • Explain “What is Donate Life?”
