DONATE LIFE ORGAN & TISSUE DONATION BLOG MARKS ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY WITH OVER 26,000 VISITORS AND OVER 1,180 DONATION AWARENESS STORIES

http://donatelife-organdonation.blogspot.com

Today marks the first anniversary of the Donate Life Organ and Tissue Donation Blog which was established to chronicle organ and tissue donation awareness activities across the United States. Since going live, we have reported over 1,180 donation awareness stories, over two hundred of which are 2010 National Donate Life Month celebrations and Donate Life Flags across America events. In 365 days, we have received over 26,000 visitors, along with daily comments about how the blog has inspired individuals and communities to get involved in building awareness for donation; some of your stories have brought us to tears because of your unselfishness and passion.

Our inspiration spring from those of you who have emailed us with links to stories, articles and news clips that you wanted to share with the donation and transplant community – thank you Donate Life Organizations, Donate Life Community, Donate Life Ambassadors, OPO’s, donor and transplant recipient families. Keep doing what you do.

As we enter into our second year, we commit to documenting your hard work; we have been expanding into reporting international organ donation awareness activities thanks to our international followers; our mission is to increase the number of registered donors across America with our ultimate vision of reducing the number of people on the transplant wait list.

We are humbled and honored to be a small part of your endeavors.
