The Trillium Gift of Life Network flag will fly at Ottawa City Hall from sunrise on Sunday, April 18 to sunset on Saturday, April 24, 2010 in support of National Organ and Tissue Donation Week.
As well, the City of Ottawa will be proclaiming April 18 to April 25, 2010 as “Organ Donor Week in the City of Ottawa”.
These special commemorations are part of a national awareness campaign to ask people to consider organ and tissue donation. One donor can save up to eight lives and enhance many more. This is an opportunity to consider giving the ‘gift of life’ and discussing your wishes with your friends and loved ones.
