The Zargonzas lost their son, Matthew Van Gelderen, who sustained injuries on a high school football field during a game. Seven of his organs were donated to four people, saving their lives. Blue Shield of California in El Dorado Hills held what its first of what it hopes to become an annual event called "Blue Shield Cares" where 10 percent of proceeds from the fundraiser will be matched by them and given to Donate Life California. |
