NATIONAL DONATE LIFE MONTH-LONG BEACH,CA - 2010 LONG BEACH GRAND PRIX - DAVID FOSTER FOUNDATION #06 CAR TO HELP RAISE AWARENESS OF ORGAN DONATION

NEWMAN/HAAS/LANIGAN RACING TO RUN “BE A DONOR, SAVE A LIFE” MESSAGE ON ENTRY FOR THE TOYOTA GRAND PRIX OF LONG BEACH TO HELP RAISE AWARENESS FOR ORGAN DONATION

LONG BEACH, Calif. (April 15, 2010) --- Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing (NHLR) began a partnership with the David Foster Foundation (DFF) prior to the season-ending IZOD IndyCar Series event in Homestead last year and will run the DFF slogan “Be a Donor, Save a Life,” on the sidepod of the No. 06 car to be driven by Hideki Mutoh in the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach this weekend to help raise awareness of organ donation.

"Becoming an organ donor is an important cause to me,” said David Foster. “What better way for the world to see our Be a Donor, Save a Life message than on the side of Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing’s Indy car at the number one street race in North America! I'm grateful to the team and I take personal pride in seeing our Be a Donor message on the Indy car in an area where I live and work. This is a tremendous opportunity for the David Foster Foundation and we're so thankful to have a great partnership with Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing in sharing this most important message."

The David Foster Foundation is dedicated to providing financial support to families with children in need of life-saving organ transplants. The foundation was started more than 20 years ago by 15-time Grammy award-winning producer and songwriter David Foster. In the past two decades, the foundation has provided millions of dollars in support and assisted hundreds of families. The David Foster Foundation also has a mission to raise awareness about the importance of becoming a registered organ donor.

In addition to being a successful producer, songwriter, TV host, discoverer of talent, author, hitmaker and record company executive, David Foster is also a humanitarian. In 1986, he established the David Foster Foundation. In addition to being committed to raising awareness about the importance of organ donation, the foundation helps families with their non-medical expenses when their child needs a life-saving organ transplant.
