Student film festival on organ and tissue donation
LifeShare is sponsoring a student film festival on organ and tissue donation in April. It’s one of the major highlights of our Donate Life Month activities. The films’ subjects include a heart recipient, a donor mother, a cornea recipient and patients waiting for transplants. Five student teams are competing for the top prize – a trip to Los Angeles to attend the National Donate Life Hollywood Film Festival. They all attend the Art Institute of Charlotte or UNC Charlotte.
The screening is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday, April 16th. It will be followed by a brief question and answer session with the student filmmakers and their subjects. Seating is limited. Call Jennifer McCarn at (704) 512-3303 to reserve yours.
