April is National Donate Life Month and to commemorate Camden Clark Memorial Hospital hosted an event with Lifeline of Ohio encouraging individuals to become organ, eye, and tissue donors. Authorities say becoming a donor is a decision that can save and help improve dozens of lives.
"We encourage as many people as possible to register to be organ, eye, and tissue donors. There's a potential to save up to 8 live through organ donation," Lauren Fitting, the Partnership Coordinator with Lifeline of Ohio says. "And heal up to 50 individuals through tissue donation."
There are currently over 160,000 Americans awaiting tissue, eye, and organ donations.
