In celebration of National Donate Life month, volunteers from Intermountain Donor Services and the Yes! Utah Donor Registry will hold a tree-planting ceremony on Saturday at noon at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 W. 3100 South.
Among the organ transplant recipients attending will be two young adults — one who received a heart transplant nine years ago and another who received a kidney two months ago. There are currently 412 Utahns waiting for a transplant and more than 106,000 people nationwide.
