Anyone who has been to Knuckleheads more than a few times has most likely met or encountered Merle Zuel, the big guy at the door. Merle is a heart-transplant recipient and a great spokesman and ambassador for the Midwest Transplant Network.
This weekend at Knuckleheads, he is throwing his two-day Merle Jam, a fundraiser for the Merle Jam Transplant Fund, which provides assistance to pre- and post-op heart transplant patients and their families. Tonight's music theme is country ($20); Saturday's theme is blues ($15), featuring Devon Allman (above). Both lineups (see below) are stellar. Go one night or two, have a great time and help a great cause.
