Kidney Walk - A Walk With A Difference!
coming this August and September, 2010
2.5K Walks / 5K Fun Run

Psst… Wanna be a Kidney Hero? Don’t know how? It’s simple.

Kidney Heroes are found everywhere in communities across British Columbia. They are the thousands of people on dialysis who cope with the daily challenges of living with kidney disease. They are the family members, friends and health care workers who provide on-going encouragement, care and support to kidney patients. They are the organ donors, the grateful transplant recipients and individuals who have registered online to be organ donors.

They are also the thousands of participants across BC who have joined the KIDNEY WALK since 2008. Want to be part of something special in your community? Join them. Register for the 2010 KIDNEY WALK – a Walk with a difference.

Yes – The KIDNEY WALK is a fundraiser, like all other walks. And it comes with entertainment and incentives – just like other walks.

But for this walk, we don’t just want your pledges. We want your kidneys too. Not now! Later… when you don’t need them anymore. Come to the walk, bring your pledges, and sign up to be an organ donor. Now THAT’S a Kidney Hero.

You might win a prize. You will save a life.

Kidney Disease is incurable and on the rise. Funds raised from Kidney Walk allow the foundation to support stimulating innovative research; provide education and support; promote access to high quality healthcare; and increase public awareness about kidney health and organ donation. Together we can make a real difference in the lives of kidney patients in British Columbia. Take this opportunity – Be a Hero. Save Lives. Register!

Why not lace up your tennis shoes and join us during the month of August at your town's KIDNEY WALK. Don't miss out on the fun - it only takes a moment to sign up and get started today!
