5TH ANNUAL ASPEN SUMMIT FOR LIFE-December 11, 2010
WELCOME! Our mission is to raise awareness of the importance of organ and tissue donation through a weekend of events celebrating life. Each participant must sign up individually. Register below for your event of choice: Summit for Life, Ride for Life or Snowed In. If you prefer to fax or mail in a pledge form, or pay by check, please download the Event Registration Form (right-click the link to Save As). The online registration closes at 5 pm on Friday, December 10th.REGISTER TODAY!
SUMMIT FOR LIFE - Our signature event. Race or mosey your way up 3,267 vertical feet to the top of Aspen Mountain. Racers of all ages and physical abilities are welcome to participate. Cost is a $40 required registration fee on or before Friday, December 10th and $50 the day of the race. By registering you are also committing to raise $160 in requested pledges, however, there is a minimum of $60 in pledges required. Once you register, you will be able to create or join a TEAM and keep track of all your fund raising efforts through your own racer page.
- 5:15 PM Recreational Start: For first-timers, climbers that anticipate taking longer than two hours to reach the top or hikers that want to take their time.
- 6:00 PM Competitive Start: For climbers that anticipate finishing in under two hours.
RIDE FOR LIFE - Skip the uphill hike altogether and ride on the Silver Queen Gondola straight to the summit to enjoy dinner, dancing with a live performance, and cheering on the athletes as they come through the finish line. Cost to register is $60 per person and $35 for kids 12 and under.
NEW in 2010! When you register to ride the gondola you can also raise pledges to help support a great cause. Once registered to Ride for Life, your name will appear in list of racers, as a “Rider” under the Sponsor a Racer page …please be sure to tell all of your friends, family and co-workers and encourage them to support your efforts to raise awareness by making a donation on your behalf. Prizes will be awarded to top fundraisers in this category!
SNOWED IN- For those of you who want to support the event but don't want to leave the warmth and comfort of your home or hotel room or can't attend, we welcome your pledges of any amount to support Summit For Life.
NEW in 2010! Want to raise money for a great cause but just can’t make it to Aspen for Summit for Life? When you make a donation under Snowed In you are allowed to elect to become a “Pledge Raiser”, and your name will appear in the list of racers as a “pledge raiser” on the Sponsor a Race page…please be sure to tell all of your friends, family and co-workers and encourage them to support your efforts to raise awareness by making a donation on your behalf. Prizes will be awarded to top fundraisers in this category!
Where: Base of Little Nell Run, Aspen Mountain up to the Sundeck. End with a party on the Sundeck from 6:15 - 10:15pm.
Route: From the base of Aspen Mountain to the Sundeck (3,267 vertical feet in 2.5 miles). The course cut-off time is 9:00 pm. Click here for more details about the course.
