Michigan is Already Beating Ohio...
Michigan is already beating Ohio... in the Buckeye-Wolverine Challenge for Life!

In its fifth year, this life-saving competition is designed to motivate fans across the states of Ohio and Michigan to save lives and register as organ and tissue donors. We are competing to see who can register the most new organ and tissue donors before Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010.
Ohio has won the title four years in a row! The problem is: Michigan is winning right now by more than 19,000 new donors.
We know the Buckeye faithful can rally and defend our title!
Please, register TODAY as an organ, eye and tissue donor in the Ohio Donor Registry and pass this email along to encourage others to become Buckeyes for Life.
109,000 Waiting for Transplants
ohio stadiumMore than 109,000 people in the U.S. are waiting for a lifesaving transplant - enough to fill Ohio Stadium and then some.

3,000 of those waiting are Ohioans! Tragically, 18 men, women, and children die each day in this country waiting for the "Gift of Life."

These deaths could be prevented if more people made the commitment to become a donor at the time of their death.
Coach Tressel Voices Support for Campaign
Coach Tressel"Ohio has won the competition since its inception in 2006, proving that Ohio State has the best fans in the land," said Ohio State Football Coach Jim Tressel, a registered organ and tissue donor.
"It's gratifying to see the generosity of citizens in both states, but we need our Buckeye fans to step up again this year."
"To see the way donation affects an entire family is incredible. The difference you can make as a donor is unparalleled," he added. Tressel's close friend and colleague, Bob Mansfield, received a transplant in 1995.
