A local health executive will star in a national television commercial.

Diane Wilson, chief operating officer of Community Tissue Services, will be featured in a University of Phoenix commercial.

Wilson said the “I am a Phoenix” TV spot has been an opportunity to give awareness and public attention to organ and tissue donation.

She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2007 and a dual master’s degree in nursing and health administration in 2009 through the university’s online programs.

Dayton-based Community Tissue Services, which has regional offices in eight states, is a nonprofit provider of tissue grafts. In 2009, it distributed more than 150,000 tissue grafts to 2,000 hospitals, physicians and surgeons.

University of Phoenix is the largest private university in North America.
