Late father to be honored on parade float

Bill Campbell, left, and his brother John decorate a floragraph in honor of their late father, Paul Campbell. The floragraph will be part of the Donate Life float in the 122nd Tournament of Roses Parade on Saturday in Pasadena. The Donate Life float will be adorned with 60 floragraphs, honoring those who donated their bodies to others.

Paul Campbell, former Colton resident, was a member of The Press-Enterprise sports staff, serving in many roles within the department over 32 years. He was 52 when he died from injuries sustained in a pedestrian accident in San Bernardino in July.

The best example of his passion for giving was his years of blood donations. He donated 43 gallons of blood.
