New York Organ Donor Network

MYFOXNY.COM - Elaine Berg , the president and CEO of the New York Organ Donor Network, came to Fox 5 News to talk about registering to become an organ donor and the organ donation wagon pilot program.

Every year, more than 1,500 people receive kidneys, livers, and hearts that have been donated for transplantation, according to the New York State Department of Health. But more than 8,000 New Yorkers are on waiting lists -- the need for organ donations far exceeds the supply.
