BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) - The memory of one life lost and six lives saved lives in pictures on a Rose Bowl parade float.

Beavercreek residents, Ken and Ellen Blair lost their son five years ago when he was hit by a van while riding his bike in New York City.

But he lives on through the organs and tissues he donated that saved half a dozen lives.

Now, his picture will be see on the Donate Life float on New Year's Day.

Ellen Blain said "It's a very difficult thing to experience when you lose a loved one, but there wasn't anything difficult about making a decision to leave this world a better place."
