Donate Life Walk, Canberra, Australia
After gathering at 6.45 am, the walk kicks off at 7 am from Regatta Point. It includes a bridge-to-bridge circuit of Lake Burley Griffin taking about an hour, followed by a free healthy breakfast. You can walk or jog at your own pace, and pets, children and friends are very welcome.
The walk is supported by everyone from politicians and business leaders to local schoolchildren and community groups. So if you'd like to raise awareness about organ and tissue donation and help those awaiting a life-saving transplant, register now.
You can participate as an individual, or you can get a team of friends or workmates together and enjoy the fun and fresh air. Register online now.
You can take part on the day without registering, but by signing up online you'll also receive information and resources to help you spread the word about organ donation in your own communities.
So register now! Participating in the 2011 DonateLife Walk is the best way to show your support for organ donation and encourage those around you to discover, decide and discuss this important issue so that we can boost the donation rate around Australia.
