Donate Life Vermont has made February 23, 2011 the official day to make a HUGE change in Vermont by increasing the number of organ and tissue registrants in the state!! Help us promote February 23rd as the day to log onto www.DonateLifeVt.org and register as an organ and tissue donor! Get your coworkers, friends, family and everyone else involved by using the tools found on www.DonateLifeVt.org/rally to help spread the work quickly in your community!
Our Goal: Get 5,000 Vermonters to register as an organ and tissue donor on www.DonateLifeVt.org on February 23,2011 creating a HUGE 1 day event that will greatly impact change in Vermont.
Why? Vermont has the LOWEST amount of organ and tissue registrants in the country!! 99.9% of people in Vermont have not registered yet! Many people think that if they sign the space on their drivers license then they are registered….the fact is that the driver's license and state registry are not linked yet! Over 100,000 people are currently waiting for an organ/tissue transplant in the United States....an average of 17 people will die each day waiting.
