Make La. #1 in the My State Cares Contest- Get Your Heart On Your Drivers License February 14th
MY STATE CARES - SHARE THE LOVE LOUISIANA

Press Release- LOUISIANA - On February 14, 2011, Donate Life Louisiana (DLL) and the Lafayette Office of Motor Vehicles will host a one-day initiative, My State Cares - Share the Love Louisiana, encouraging customers to say yes to organ and tissue donation. When an individual shares the love by obtaining the red heart on their driver's license, they increase the chances of a life-saving organ transplant for over 110,000 men, women and children.

In April 2010, Mike Greiner, a kidney/pancreas recipient, and his family sold their home in Illinois to
embark on a journey visiting every state in the US. Their purpose - to challenge every state through the My State Cares contest to register the most organ, tissue and cornea donors in one day. The Greiner family will be visiting Baton Rouge February 9-16, 2011. To show Acadiana's support for the Greiner family, we invite you help make Louisiana #1 in the My State Cares contest, and be a part of our Donor Registry Blast on February 14th. Louisiana will be the 40th stop for Mike, his wife and two children.
