April Designated as National Donate Life Month in Columbus

At the Monday, March 14, Columbus City Council meeting, Pro Tem Hearcel Craig designated April 2011 as “National Donate Life Month” in the Columbus on behalf of Council members. Pro Tem Craig is chair of the Health, Housing and Human Services Committee. 

After he read the resolution, Lifeline of Ohio CEO, Kent Holloway, thanked the Council for their efforts and he invited City Council members, as well as the citizens of Columbus, to the April 2 “Day of Hope, Remembrance and Celebration”event at the Lifeline of Ohio Donor Memorial Park. Following Kent, heart recipient Ryan Zinn shared his remarkable story about how his donor has provided him with 22 healthy years full of life, accomplishments and opportunities.

Lifeline of Ohio would like to extend its gratitude to the City of Columbus and Pro Tem Craig for their support organ, eye and tissue donation.
