JJ'S LEGACY 2011 SECOND ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

The event honors my son Jeffrey Johns, who passed away March 1, 2009 at the age of 27. Though the loss of our beloved son Jeff was a tragedy, we are comforted to know that he lives in the five people he saved as an organ donor and the fifty others he saved and healed as a tissue donor.

Jeff was a fun-loving, outgoing individual who truly loved life. He had an infectious smile and outgoing personality that drew others to him, and once inside his circle he kept you there. He was also a gifted athlete who enjoyed baseball, football and golf. JJ’s Legacy Golf Tournament honors Jeff along with countless other Americans across the nation who gave life in their passing as organ and tissue donors.

JJ’s Legacy Golf Tournament included a fun-filled day of golf for all players, dinner, and a live and silent auction. All took place at the Seven Oaks Country Club in Bakersfield where JJ spent much of his leisure time golfing. We hope that you too enjoyed one of Jeff’s favorite activities in celebration of his life.

Proceeds from the event were donated to OneLegacy, the non-profit organ and tissue recovery organization serving Kern County, to inspire the residents of our community to enroll in the Donate Life California Donor Registry.
