Young Boy Given a 'LifeGift'
HOUSTON - April is National Donate Life Month and one young boy is thankful to an organ donor that allowed his life to be saved as the result of a liver transplant.
To honor the children who donated organs and tissue that allowed other children to live, Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital in cooperation with LifeGift, will unveil the Tree of Life on April 1 at the hospital pediatric intensive care unit . On 20 branches of the tree memorial will hang a photo of a pediatric organ donor.
The memorial will be a permanent fixture and more children will be honored each year.
