Donate Life Month
For the second year in a row, Kadlec Medical Center is displaying a flag in honor of Donate Life Month, which is in April.

According to LifeCenter Northwest, an organ donor program, 110,000 people across the nation are waiting for organs and 18 die each day.

Kennewick resident Alicia Foss received a life-saving lung transplant last April and wants people to know the importance of becoming an organ donor.

She says, "Just coming out and showing support and for organ donation. Even though I don't know who my donor is -- thanking my donor for the perfect set of lungs that I received."

Jamie Peterson, who approached Kadlec to raise the flag last year and who's own young daughter and niece were organ donors says, "I'm trying to get out to the community, for those that aren't organ donors, to educate themselves to understand how important it is."

We added a link for more information on our website about organ donation.
