Leaders of religious faiths speak of supporting organ donation

SALT LAKE CITY—

About 18 people die every day in the U.S. waiting for an organ transplant, according to Intermountain Donor Services.

Friday, a group of religious leaders representing different faiths came together to talk about the topic. Representatives from Salt Lake Valley’s Jewish, Episcopalian, and Latter-day Saints community spoke in supporting the need for organ donor support.
