ROSSFORD, Ohio (WUPW) - Hearts for Harrison held a fundraiser Saturday at Interstate Lanes in Rossford to help raise awareness about organ donation for children.
The event was held in honor of 5-year old Harrison Mack, who died three weeks ago. Harrison was waiting for a heart transplant and unfortunately he did not receive one in time.
His parents hosted a bowling event to raise awareness for the cause.
"We have read every single message, every single e-mail, Facebook message, and it means the world to us," said Kristen Mack, mother. "We could not have gotten through this without messages from people we know and people we don't know."
The biggest message the Macks want to get across is that organ donation is not just for adults.
