Cho Ray hospital to conduct first liver transplant surgery, Saigon
The first human liver organ transplant surgery will be conducted at the Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City as stated by Dr. Pham Huu Thien Chi, Director of the Department of Gastro-Intestinal and Hepatobiliary Surgery on June 6.
Many highly qualified surgeons who have studied transplant surgery abroad will be at hand during the operation. The Hospital has also purchased specific medical equipment for the surgery and doctors have tested and tried mock surgeries on animals.
