Registration is open for the Sept. 10
The California Transplant Donor Network, which is member organization of Donate Life California, will use the money raised to support programs like educating high school students about donation. About 10,000 people in CTDN’s area alone are on a waiting list for an organ.
The event is a two-mile, non-competitive walk around Lake Elizabeth in Fremont.
The event takes place from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the walk itself beginning at 9:30 a.m., rain or shine. You can register individually or gather a group of people and form a team. Each participant received a “goodie bag” and a tee-shirt.
There is no “day-of” registration but if you register by Aug. 19, registration is $30. After that, until Sept. 7, the registration is $35 per person. Register at: www.ctdn.org or you can go to: www.active.com
