Your Health Tuesday: Organ Donation
How can you give the gift of life

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) - Every day in the United States, on average 18 men, women and children die waiting for an organ transplant.

This is a topic that's very important to one middle school student in North Carolina. It's a lesson she learned very early in her life and one she shares with us in Tuesday's "Your Health" report.

There are two ways to sign up to be an organ donor in Virginia and North Carolina. You can either sign up when you get your driver's license or by CLICKING HERE and signing up online.

If you're under 18 and would like to be an organ donor, you must get your parent or legal guardian's written consent.
