The 14th annual MOTTEP LIFE Walk/Run to promote awareness of organ and tissue donation in Michigan will begin with registration at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the Belle Isle Casino on East Jefferson Avenue at East Grand Boulevard in Detroit.
Early registration, open through 11:59 p.m. Friday, is $15 for walkers for the one-mile or 5K route and $20 for runners for the 5K or 10K route. On-site registration is $20 for walkers and $25 for runners. Children 12 and younger can participate for free. The run begins at 8:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 9 a.m.
The event is sponsored by Gift of Life Michigan's Minority Organ Tissue Transplant Education Program (MOTTEP).
