HOUSTON - Are you an organ donor? Have you ever considered it?
Monday was National Minority Donor Awareness Day. A donor drive was held at Ben Taub Hospital.
Among those in attendance: Tyler Nelson, a teen born with cystic fibrosis. He has cirrhosis of the liver and diabetes.
He's been waiting on a liver and lung transplant for about a year now.
But instead of complaining, he's helping other teens like him with his new e-book.
About 55 percent of those on the national organ transplant waiting list are minorities.
