25 Years and 2,500 Second Chances

Approximately 3,343 Georgians are currently on the transplant waiting list.

3,343 mothers, children, husbands, grandparents and friends.

You have the potential to save their lives.

In the 25 years since it was established, Piedmont Hospital’s Transplant Institute has saved more than 2,500 lives through their comprehensive transplant services. This could not have been accomplished without 2,500 selfless donors. With their help, we have been able to provide a second chance at life to people who were once severely ill and hoping for a miracle. They were given the precious gift of time - time to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, births and every small but precious moment in a life renewed.

But there are still more than 3,000 people awaiting a transplant here in Georgia. And we need your help to give them their second chance at life.

To celebrate this milestone in Piedmont’s history, we want to give the gift of 2,500 new beginnings to our community. In collaboration with Georgia’s transplant community, other local hospitals and the passionate men and women who have already received their transplant, we will strive to add another 2,500 donors to the state’s donor registry through a registration drive throughout the month of September.

Please register to donate and join us in our efforts to help the thousands of Georgians waiting for their second chance.
