To the casual observer, it was as if Carleen Ramsey never missed a day.
The 64-year-old music teacher- a veteran at St. Michael's Episcopal in Bon Air for 32 years- leaped and pranced around her classroom Thursday morning with a drum in one hand, a stick in the other and a trail of third-graders bringing up the rear.
Ramsey's journey from healthy local teacher, to transplant recipient, and now back to highly-energetic instructor has been quicker than anyone expected, especially the patient.
