Lifebanc is celebrating 25 years of saving and healing lives through organ, eye and tissue donation for transplantation. For the last 25 years, Lifebanc has helped save and heal hundreds of thousands of lives in our community.

Lifebanc is celebrating its Silver Anniversary with a soiree of timeless swank, swing and sophistication at the Cleveland Renaissance Hotel on September 24, 2011 from 6:30 – 10:30 p.m.

The Legacy of Life 25th Anniversary Gala is black tie optional. The evening will feature an inspiring program as we celebrate stories of hope, inspiration and lives forever changed accompanied by cocktails, auction and dinner. A legacy of champions who have impacted the mission of Lifebanc including Senator George Voinovich, Lifebanc Ambassador Lynda Corea and Cleveland Clinic’s Art Thomson will be honored and highlighted. The Legacy of Life Awards pay tribute to people who educate the public about organ, eye and tissue donation and serve as catalysts to increase the number of registered donors. The evening’s entertainment will feature world-renowned opera soprano and double lung transplant recipient, Charity Tillemann-Dick, singer Angelo Babbaro and The Rick Brunetto Big Band.

To be a part of this memorable evening, view the invitation and the printable RSVP card. Advance purchase of seats is required. Reservations can be mailed, along with payment to Lifebanc. For more information, contact Jillian Frazier at 216.820.4888.

Nationally, more than 110,000 women, children, and men are waiting for life-saving organ transplants. More than 1,800 reside in northeast Ohio. Sadly, in the past 10 years, more than 2,000 Ohioans have died waiting for organs that did not arrive in time. All proceeds from the 25th Anniversary Gala will support outreach and education initiatives and its bereavement services. Lifebanc’s educational efforts increase the number of individuals registering their wishes to save lives as organ, eye and tissue donors.

The 25th Anniversary Gala is presented with the support of: University Hospitals Transplant Institute; Cleveland Clinic Transplant Center; Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation (MTF), Statline and 11am; Mt. Sinai Health Care Foundation and Cleveland Magazine.
