TEENAGER Coen Ashton yesterday was awarded a Child of Courage medal and will celebrate his win with a sweet drink.
The 14-year-old, who has cystic fibrosis and is diabetic, was recognised for his outstanding efforts raising awareness about organ donation at the annual Pride of Australia Awards in Brisbane.
He said a can of Coke would help him enjoy the award.
"I'm just an average kid who tries to do what he can to help out and try to raise awareness for organ donation and anything to help others to get better," Coen said.
