She and her family were shocked when they heard the news that Querisha's first real sickness, could be her last. "It's not too good from what they're telling me. I don't know how I got sick, but I did. I went to the gastroenterologist. He said it was nothing. So I tried to go back and finish my semester and I couldn't because I couldn't walk anymore...(crying) Congestive heart failure. They believe I got some kind of virus. They don't know how, they don't know when."

College student fights for heart transplant
CW 33, KDAF TV, Dallas/Fort Worth | Nerissa Knight
Right now inside an ICU room at Medical City Dallas, electronic devices and tubes surround a seemingly healthy young lady, as doctors and nurses monitor every beat of an ailing young heart. While she celebrated her birthday months ago, 24 year-old Querisha Felix, a senior at Texas Women's University in Denton, thought she had her whole life ahead of her. She was active in the community and enjoyed classes and hanging out with her sorority sister.
