Nova Scotia will soon become the first province in Canada to allow organ donors' families and their recipients to meet legally.
Corinne Corning, the program manager of the province's Legacy of Life organ and tissue donation program, said the provincial law will be changed next fall.
"Mainly it's to be able to see that the other person is living and it's a good feeling that you've done something really good or your loved one has done something really good," Corning told CBC News.
"You've improved the lives of someone else and perhaps bring some closure to what is usually a tragic event."
