Little Nicholas Green saved the lives of seven Italians; Ahmed Khatib, a Palestinian boy, saved the lives of six others. Now, two fathers who made one of the most important decisions of their lives, that of donating organs of their children killed by mistake – one in a robbery attempt in Calabria, the other by an Israeli solder – have united forces to speak on the importance of organ donation.
Together, they recount their story. They’ll be in Toronto from October 29 to November 8, and also plan to visit Montreal and Ottawa during that time.
“The objective,” Step by Step founder George Marcello stated at a press conference at Columbus Centre, “is that of increasing the number of organ and tissue donors.”
