Once an actor on the popular daytime series The Young and the Restless, a former NFL and CFL football player and member of the 1988 Canadian Olympic bobsleigh team, Dell's pre-transplant life was an active and impressive one.
But these days the 49-year-old Victoria resident prefers to talk about his "new" life's passion and it isn't acting or sports. Instead, it's a subject most people pay scant or no attention to, which is what Dell wants to change.
"I'm passionate about my new life and I'd like to use my life and celebrity to raise awareness about signing an organ donor card," he said.
