When the parents of Eleni Wilson were faced with the realization, the West Fargo teenager would not survive the trauma of a brain aneurism, they made a life saving decision so few of us can imagine.
Geoff and Maria Wilson were not aware of how organ donation works---- how families should discuss it, and take the step to have it noted on a driver's license. Today, just days after their daughter's funeral, the family talked of the loss, and the gifts she left behind.
Few can imagine the heartache of standing in front of strangers talking about the sudden loss of a child. But Maria Wilson today shared the story of her daughter Eleni....taken from her too soon, but today living on in grateful organ recipients.
