A joyous donation: SON GIVES MOTHER KIDNEY, GIFT OF LIFE

Worcester Telegram | Susan Shalhoub

WORCESTER (MA) — The Dufaults of Blaine Avenue are a longtime musical family.

Elaine and Art Dufault have performed show tunes and dinner dance music for years. The couple did an 11-year stint at the Old Timer’s Restaurant and Tap Room in Clinton in the late ’70s and ’80s. They’ve performed at nursing homes and hospital charity shows as part of a group they have been with for 40 years.

Mr. Dufault was a member of the Worcester County Light Opera Company. Their son, Todd Dufault of Millbury, plays guitar with the band Valvatross. Daughter Jill Restagno of Millbury sings with The Right Band, a local group. They and siblings Corey and Lori were raised with music as part of the natural rhythm of the household, where voices often come together to create one song.
