Springwood Library is helping turn the spotlight on the important issue of organ and tissue donation until November 29.
The library is the temporary home to DonateLife’s Book of Life, a journal that tells personal stories of organ and tissue donation and transplantation in an effort to raise awareness about the issue.
Blue Mountains Mayor Daniel Myles officially launched the book on Monday, November 21 with Leura resident Carol Ang speaking movingly about her own experience as an organ recipient and her father’s decision to become an organ donor.
Clr Myles encouraged people to contribute their stories, pictures and experiences of organ and tissue donation to the Book of Life.
