Yesterday, December 3rd was the office start of float decorating in Pasadena.  The after-affects of the winter wind storm which damaged many trees in the Pasadena and Southern California area did not stop the over one-hundred volunteers who were up early in the morning to help with placing the first dry materials onto the 2012 Donate Life Rose Parade Float "One More Day."  There were notable groups decorating including the Asian Community and volunteers from various California DMV offices through out California.

We also welcomed, and I had the delightful privilege of meeting very special guests from Donate Life California, Charlene Zettel, CEO and Brad Makaiau who got their fingers into the glue to meticulously adhere white beans onto the float framework.

Local volunteers also helped with nearly 40 floragraphs were completed (except for eyebrows) and are now being shipped to honoree families for floragraph ceremonies across the country taking place this coming week.

We at the Organ and Tissue Donation Blog will be posting stories from the various floragraph ceremonies and will post a slideshow from yesterdays decorating event very soon.

See you on December 10th once again for the second week of decorating.
Please also visit the Donate LIfe Rose Float website to follow the journey of our float.
