INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Riley kids and families participated in a special event hosted by Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health and the NCAA Hall of Champions on Saturday.
The special event, called “Heart to Heart” is where Riley kids who have received a lifesaving transplant visit and celebrate life!
Nearly 50 young heart transplant recipients from across the state, and more than 150 of their family members gathered at the NCAA Hall of Champions to participate in a holiday party with staff from Riley Hospital.
The festivities celebrated the longer, healthier lives these children are now enjoying thanks to their organ donors and heart transplant operations performed at Riley at IU Health, according to a press release.
