The Miller family is calling it a double edged sword.
"Obviously, we'd rather her be here, but it's just another way of honoring her, and this is her legacy," Heather Miller's mom Jody Miller said.
Jody and Gary Miller and their three children will be heading to Pasadena, Ca. to see their daughter Heather's face on a float in the Rose Bowl Parade on January 2. But, they will be seeing her face in a different way, in the form of a floragraph on the Donate Life Float with 71 others who lost their lives but donated organs to those in need along the way.
"It's definitely a honor. She seems to always come back into our lives. Although she has a way about her, she's making us go to California," Jody Miller said.
The theme of this year's Donate Life float "One More Day", is signifying time and how precious each day with our loved ones really is.
The whole family will have the chance to decorate the float in California before the parade starts. Gary Miller is excited to put his construction background to good use.

I had the honor of meeting the Miller family at the float decoration. As a kidney recipient I was so touched how they have followed their daughter's wishes and done so much good out of such a tragedy. I remember this quote "I measure my life not only by the life I lived, but the life I give." Her daughter keeps giving life in hospital rooms across the country as a heavenly nurse! What a fitting tribute ride on this float!
