Taipei, Dec. 7 (CNA) The first death-row inmate in Taiwan to donate a living kidney met with his sister Wednesday, one week after an operation was performed to help the sibling who had been undergoing daily dialysis treatment.
Cheng Chin-wen felt agitated during a 40-minute meeting with his sister Hsu Shu-chin at Far Eastern Memorial Hospital (FEMH) this morning, said Yeh Pi-jen, deputy director of the Taipei Detention Center, at a press conference.
"The sister encouraged her little brother to write down his life story so that people can learn from his mistakes," Yeh added.
