Forest High School Students Learn about Organ Donation

Forest High School coach Dave Falcone has encouraged people to be organ donors as far back as he can remember — likely 37 years, when he received his first driver’s license and joined the donor registry.

On Thursday, Falcone handed out lime green Donate Life bracelets inside the school gymnasium. For five years, Falcone has reached out to LifeQuest Organ Recovery Services to talk to children.

More than 600 freshmen listened intently to the 90-minute presentation, which included many short films about the subject. For Falcone, “It’s just the right thing to do” and he hopes more people will be inspired to sign up as potential donors.
